From the village there is easy access to the main road which runs through the valley and connects the ski town of Chatel (and the Swiss border just beyond) to Lake Geneva. The nearest skiing to Bonnevaux is 2km away at the small ski station of Drouzin le Mont, with access to the main Portes du Soleil ski domain being via Chatel (15 minutes drive). The village is approx. an hour and a half drive from Geneva airport.
