Privacy Policy

When you contact Alpine Property you trust us with some of your personal information. This privacy policy explains about the information we collect, who we collect it from, what we do with it, and how we protect it.

From whom we collect information

Users

We collect a minimum of information from “users” - anyone using our website. We use cookies on our website and display a warning notice when a user first visits us. This warning is refreshed every 365 days. If you do not wish the session cookie to be set, you can disable cookies in your browser.

Buyers

When a buyer contacts us, we ask for contact details. This enables us to respond appropriately to his/her request, and to keep a prospective buyer up to date with relevant similar properties. If it is not obvious that a buyer would like to be kept up to date with relevant properties we will ask permission to do so.

Sellers

When a seller contacts us we initially ask for contact details too. In addition, we ask for his/her address and the address of the property for sale, which is passed to the Alpine Property agent for the relevant geographical sector.

How we protect your personal information.

In order to safeguard the information we collect from you, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that all communication with our servers is encrypted through TLS 1.2, an industry standard encryption method that encrypts data between your computer and our servers so that no data is passed in a readily-decipherable format if your network is insecure.

Sharing Information

We do not share any of your personal information with third parties – that is, anyone outside of Alpine Property. However, if a buyer asks to be put in contact with a third party partner, such as a bank or currency broker, we forward the buyer’s name, email address and phone number. We let the buyer know we have done this and provide the third party contact details to the buyer directly. Once a buyer decides to make a purchase, we are then obliged to ask for more detailed personal information, in order that the legal documentation can be prepared.

Cookies

We use cookies for two reasons: to help our website adapt to a user’s needs, (for instance, to remain logged-in for a period); and to help us decide how best to spend our advertising budget. So, for example, we record whether a user has come to us from Google or Facebook. This helps us allocate our resources, and allows us to advertise to our users when they are using these sites. Cookies give us the capability to target our advertising in other ways but that is not something we do.

Can I opt out or delete all the information you hold about me?

Yes, at Alpine Property our systems are controlled by real people, not computers – you can unsubscribe from our services and ask us to delete the information we hold about you at any time. All our update emails have a reply address that goes to a real person, and all have an ‘unsubscribe’ link that works. Otherwise, you can contact us by telephone or using the contact form on our website and we will respond quickly to your request.
