Chalet les Mouilles is a delightful and charming chalet, located in the hamlet of Les Mouilles, in St Jean d’Aulps. Les Mouilles is a very sunny part of the village, with lovely views and only 5 minutes’ walk to the village centre. The chalets in this hamlet are generally very traditional in style, giving the area a true Savoyard feel.

Chalet les Mouilles has 4 double bedrooms, two on the top floor, and two on the lower ground floor. The top floor bedrooms are both spacious, with lovely views to the east and west. The downstairs bedrooms are a recent conversion, and are both a lovely size. They share a modern bathroom, with laundry facilities and brand new hot water tank.

The main living accomodation is on the middle floor, with an L-shaped living-dining room and separate kitchen. The chalet has a a bright and welcoming feel, and immediately makes you feel at home in the mountains. The kitchen is very functional and has been freshly painted. A second bathroom, in excellent condition, and a separate WC complete this floor.

The internal stairs linking the main floor to the lower floor are a later addition to the property and are rather narrow, although not too steep. However, the downstairs bedrooms can also be accessed directly from outside if you find the stairs a bit of a squeeze!

The chalet sits on a large plot of 1082m2, and has really fabulous views in every direction, taking in the surrounding chalets, forests and mountains. There is a large, sunny south-facing balcony and a west-facing terrace big enough for an outdoor table and chairs, ideal for eating out in the summer. The garden is an absolute asset and offers a real haven of relaxation. Bordered by a little stream, the sound of the running water is very soothing, and children will have all sorts of fun summer or winter playing in the garden.

St Jean d’Aulps is a friendly village with a lively year-round community. The village offers all the amenities you could need, and it also has its own ski station, which is part of the Portes du Soleil skiing domain, accessible by ski bus a short walk from the property. Morzine is around 10 minutes’ drive and Geneva airport approx 90 minutes.
